Maslenica

The Maslenica shoreline is on the Novigrad Sea, which is closed by a narrow channel on its northwest side and is now accessible by two bridges!

Maslenica got its name from the olive groves grown on its shores for generations.

The inhabitants of this coastal area are particularly proud of their roots and ancestors, who eked out a hard living in the rocky hinterlands under the Velebit mountain range. They are known to say today that they inherited „genes of stone“!

Today, Maslenica is an urban tourist locale with its own county seat that offers all kinds of activities and events; e.g. Folk Festival and athletic competitions. Come see for yourself the special charms of our area!

Its proximity to the A1 highway makes Maslenica very accessible, and our two nearby bridges let you know in plenty of time that you're on the correct route.
